Scuderia Maranga Racing Team announced British youngster Trystan Finocchiaro to complete their rider line up for the 2018 FIM Supersport 300 World Championship. The 19-year-old will suit up for his first full time World Championship ride after a brief taste at the last four rounds of the 2017 WorldSSP300 season.

Finocchiaro won the chance to prove his quality on the world stage after a successful three-day test at Lausitzring in Germany, with the Bologna based Scuderia Maranga team last August. Team Owner Alberto Marangoni announced, “We are happy to have Trystan on board. He is one of the most interesting young riders to come from the UK and after having done a few races at the world level last year, he has been able to grow professionally. Thanks to what he showed us at the test, I think we’ll be able to lay the correct foundations to be protagonists in 2018.”

Proving that dreams do come true, Finocchiaro was all smiles saying, “Working with the team during the test was a dream, we were always on the same page and worked perfectly together. This is ultimately what led to our further partnership for this season.”

The focus for the WorldSSP300 rookie now is to turn his positive feelings into success with his first opportunity to do so at Round 3 in Aragon, Spain on 13^th -15^th April.
